Minerva Blogger Network – Sew Over It Heather Dress

Another lovely Sew Over It pattern that I’ve been meaning to try out for months. This was on my list to make for Autumn/Winter 2019 and I’m so glad I have this pattern in my life. This dress is what I practically live in day to day when I’m just going about normal mum/work life but want to look at least somewhat put together.

Pattern: Sew Over It Heather Dress

Fabric: Textured Jersey gifted from Minerva, available to purchase here. I have to say that this fabric was amazing, so easy to work with and really comfy and warm to wear, I thoroughly recommend.

Size: I made an 8 and took about 15cm off of the length because I wanted it tunic style.

Time to make: Approximately 2.5 hours – it’s a super quick make.

Difficulty: Ambitious jersey beginner I’d say. I’m still finding my feet with jersey but because it was a ponte weight it was very easy to work with, just make sure you match up your pockets correctly!

Would I make again: Yes, yes a thousand times yes. Off to search for more fabric right after typing this post 🙂

The full blog post, fabric and pattern review will be available to read later in the year!

What’s your favourite cosy dress pattern for winter?

Until next time, thanks for reading!

Hello! Your blog post about the Sew Over It Heather Dress is really motivational for me I love how you’ve provided insights into the challenges you faced during the process when it comes to sewing with jersey and for giving the clothing pattern– it makes it all the more relatable. The final product came out really cute, and you’ve given me the motivation I needed to dust off my sewing machine so thank you!
